Attempting to map out things like who is responsible in the case of a car accident... how to frame the laws so a person with a drivers licence can legally NOT drive the car... that sort of thing.
Good for them!
Assuming these sort of legal battles don't muck this up, First only luxury vehicles will be able to drive themselves... then as the insurance companies see a drop in accidents, it will become a common safety feature... Then a requirement. Until one day, only luxury vehicles who can afford the insurance premiums will have the option of driving manually.
