Jean Piaget's Lack of conservation demo. (its fun)

Piaget is my favorite child psychology theorist. His method was mostly all about watching kids, writing down the mistakes they made consistently, and trying to puzzle out why. In extremely simplistic terms, he believed kids have to  learn HOW to think, and go through a lot of stages before they can. He goes on to label all these stages with concepts like schema, schemata, and formal operational stage. The only reason he's not on my list of living heroes, is that he died in 1980.

So next time you get mad at your kids for making a choice that to your adult eyes makes no sense whatsoever... remember this video. It's also damned handy when you are low on juice and cookies.
