This is a video captured by someone lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time... This looks like a test run... there's no sound, (from the system, I hear a lot of birds and owls, which in my opinion, is actually must better)
I can pretty much guarantee that a lot of buildings in the near future will have this type of technology on all the time... most of the time I envision subtle morphing and jaw dropping patterns, and then every now and then an advertisers stuff would pop up, like this. At least I hope we are smart enough to do it that way...
If you spam ads like this all the time, they lose their incredible impact. But showing this kind of 4 minute ad say, once a night at 7pm... you'd consistently draw a crowd. Now isn't THAT ultimately what the advertiser wants? heh, do these right, and make them clocks. going off once an hour, to show an ad, and tell you what time it is.
