cyberdyne exoskeleton

Aside from Terminator references, This Japanese company Cyberdyne is making some very cool things. Movie cultural references just keep on coming, they named it HAL  for Hybrid Assistive Limb.

Watching this video blew my mind.  Exoskeletons in general are no longer science fiction. These things are extremely adaptive,  with different model exoskeletons for specific uses: medical, military, heavy lifting. The other day my UPS driver was hauling into my apartment multiple boxes that would eventually become the kids bunk bed with stairs. I was joking with him that he needed this, and he joked back that the company was looking into it. If he was serious, that's not a bad move for UPS to make.
