The Future is now. This Jpop star is a computer generated hologram.
It's using the peppers ghost illusion to appear right in front of a massive crowd of cheering fans.
It was created by Crypton Future Media using vocaloid technology to synthesize the voice of a real person (suspected to be Saki Fujita an anime voice actress).
She also has some great music videos.
I predict the US will have their own virtual pop star in less than 2 years. I would not be surprised if the same corporation created it.
