Ruth Schulz, wrote a paper showing how one robot made up and taught "language" to another robot to define common terms distance and locations.
So far we are talking about two robots that are making up words to describe their locations... I wonder how long before they start introducing more robots into the mix... I can well imagine over time these words being codified into a schemata that all these robots share... very cool project.
